The rear cover of the tiny book is embossed with the name and address of Oddi's Restaurant in Shepherds Bush, London, a popular celebrity hangout near the former BBC Television Centre during the 1960s and 70s. The Beatles were frequent guests at BBC television, appearing on various shows like Pops and Lenny, Juke Box Jury, Blue Peter, and Panorama. Their iconic performance of "All You Need Is Love" during the global Our World broadcast in 1967 remains a memorable moment in music history.
According to family accounts, the autographs in the address book were collected by the previous owner's mother, who worked at Oddi's Restaurant at the time. She had the opportunity to serve the band during their visit and requested them to sign the first item available, which happened to be an old address book distributed by the restaurant as a souvenir.
