Aidan Chiles Commits to Northwestern: Big Ten Quarterback Shuffle

Aidan Chiles, the former Michigan State football quarterback, has committed to Northwestern, staying within the Big Ten conference. Chiles, a two-year starter at MSU, will now be playing for the Wildcats in Evanston, Illinois. He is set to face his former team in East Lansing in 2026, as the date for the matchup is yet to be announced by the Big Ten.

Chiles, who previously played for Oregon State, will be joining an offense led by Chip Kelly, a renowned coach who has had success at various levels. During his time at MSU, Chiles had a solid performance, completing over 60% of his passes for nearly 4,000 yards, with 23 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. He also showcased his running ability, accumulating 452 yards and nine rushing touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Michigan State still has Alessio Milivojevic as their quarterback, who had a decent season with 10 touchdowns and three interceptions in four starts. The team also added Cam Fincher, a transfer from UCF, to their roster. Fincher brings experience from his time at Marshall and Florida Atlantic, and will provide depth and competition at the quarterback position for the Spartans.

With Chiles moving to Northwestern and Milivojevic and Fincher in the mix for Michigan State, the quarterback situation in the Big Ten is shaping up to be competitive and intriguing. It will be interesting to see how these players perform in their new roles and how their respective teams fare in the upcoming seasons.
