Poser marks Iungerich's first hourlong drama and her first solo creation since MTV's Awkward. She is also serving as the showrunner and executive producer alongside Jamie Dooner through her production company, Crazy Cat Lady Entertainment. The series was picked up by Netflix in September.
Daisy Jelley, known for her work in How to Have Sex and Netflix's Geek Girl, will star in the series alongside other emerging talents in the indie film Feed. On the other hand, Annie Murphy, famous for her role in Schitt's Creek, has appeared in various projects like Nine Perfect Strangers and Black Mirror. She will also star in the rom-com All That She Wants and the animated series Breaking Bear.
