Spears last performed in the U.S. during her 2018 "Piece of Me" tour, following a successful Las Vegas residency that spanned from 2013 to 2017. Despite initially planning a return to Las Vegas for a second residency in 2019, the singer had to cancel the shows and take a break from performing due to her father's health issues.
