Grande and Gomez Nominated for 32nd Annual Actor Awards: SAG-Aftra Recognition and Excitement

Ariana Grande and Selena Gomez, two prominent figures in the pop music industry, have received nominations for the 32nd annual Actor Awards presented by SAG-Aftra. Grande is up for Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her portrayal of Glinda in Wicked: For Good, while Gomez is nominated for Ensemble in a Comedy Series for her role as Mabel in Only Murders in the Building. This marks Grande's second nomination in this category, and she expressed her gratitude for the recognition on social media.
Grande's nomination sets her apart as the sole acting nominee from the Wicked series at the upcoming awards, as Cynthia Erivo did not make the cut this time. On the other hand, Gomez and the cast of Only Murders in the Building have been nominated five times in a row for Ensemble in a Comedy Series, winning the award for the first time last year. In 2025, Gomez was also recognized for Cast in a Motion Picture for her role in Emilia Pérez.
Other notable musical nominees include Kate Hudson for Female Actor in a Leading Role for her performance in Song Sung Blue and Ethan Hawke for Male Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of lyricist Lorenz Hart in Blue Moon. The Actor Awards, which consist of fifteen awards in TV and film categories, are decided by the votes of SAG-AFTRA's extensive membership of over 160,000 performers, making it one of the most significant voting bodies in the awards circuit. The 32nd annual ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 1st, 2026.
