Robert Thomas and Jake Neighbours scored for the Blues, who suffered their third consecutive loss. Jordan Binnington made 21 saves in the game. St. Louis defenseman Philip Broberg, who recently signed a lucrative contract, left the game early in the first period due to an upper-body injury following a hit from Stone. Despite the setback, Thomas managed to give the Blues an early 1-0 lead just 53 seconds into the game.
Marner equalized for Vegas at 1-1 in the first period, showcasing his skill by deking past Binnington. Eichel then put the Golden Knights ahead 2-1 in the second period with a deflected shot that found its way past the Blues' goaltender. Theodore extended the lead to 3-1 with a well-placed wrist shot in the second period after returning from an injury absence.
Neighbours pulled one back for St. Louis with a power-play goal in the third period, narrowing the gap to 3-2. However, Stone sealed the victory for Vegas with an empty-net goal late in the game, extending his point streak to seven games. The Golden Knights' strong performance secured their fourth consecutive point in the standings, maintaining their momentum in the season.
