Michigan Wolverines Football Adds Transfer Quarterback Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi to Roster

Michigan Wolverines football has secured a commitment from Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi, a transfer quarterback from Colorado State. Fowler-Nicolosi, standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 215 pounds, brings four years of experience from Colorado State and has one year of eligibility left. He is ranked as the No. 973 overall player and the No. 57 quarterback in the NCAA transfer portal by On3 Industry Rankings.
During his time at Colorado State, Fowler-Nicolosi appeared in 31 games with 28 starts, completing 60.2 percent of his passes for 6,938 yards and 38 touchdowns. He is set to be the only upperclassman quarterback on Michigan's roster and will compete for the backup position behind sophomore Bryce Underwood, who started all 13 games in 2025.
Fowler-Nicolosi's decision to transfer came after the firing of head coach Jay Norvell in September, leading to his benching during a game against UTSA. His most productive seasons were in 2023 and 2024, where he earned honorable mention All-Mountain West in 2023. As a true freshman in 2022, he played in two games, showcasing his potential early on.
Originally from Aledo, Texas, Fowler-Nicolosi was a three-star recruit in the 2022 class and was ranked as the No. 67 quarterback in the nation. His addition to the Michigan Wolverines football team brings depth and experience to the quarterback position, adding a new dynamic to the team's roster.
