Florida State Bolsters Defensive Coaching Staff with Addition of Jake Rothschiller
Florida State's coaching staff has undergone significant changes during the offseason, with various additions, subtractions, and promotions taking place under head coach Mike Norvell's leadership. To bolster their defensive coaching staff, Florida State is reportedly in the process of hiring Minot State defensive coordinator Jake Rothschiller as the assistant linebackers coach. Rothschiller, a California native, brings a wealth of experience, having played and coached at New Mexico before his stint at Minot State. His background in the 3-3-5 defense aligns well with FSU defensive coordinator Tony White's expertise.
Rothschiller's coaching career began as a graduate assistant at New Mexico, where he eventually rose to the position of linebackers coach. His success in developing players was recognized when he was named to the AFCA's 35 under 35 list, highlighting his potential as a rising coaching talent. With a track record of producing standout linebackers, Rothschiller's addition to the Seminoles' coaching staff is expected to bring a fresh perspective and valuable expertise to the team.
In addition to Rothschiller, Florida State has made several other coaching changes, including the hiring of Kam Martin as the running backs coach, Nick Williams as the EDGE coach and pass-rushing specialist, and Blue Adams as the cornerbacks coach.
