Resilience and Romance: The Story of Luna Marble

Introducing Luna Marble, a band with a soulful, 70s-inspired sound that emerged from challenging times and a blossoming romance. Led by Spanish guitarist/vocalist Maria Rico, Luna Marble combines elements of Fleetwood Mac's ethereal blues with Led Zeppelin's gritty rock, creating a unique blend of music. Rico's vocals, reminiscent of Grace Slick and Stevie Nicks, add a touch of psychedelic shimmer to the band's sound.
Despite facing adversity during the 2008 financial crisis, which led to her family relocating from Spain to Manchester, Rico found solace in music. Immersing herself in the vibrant music scene of Manchester, she learned to play guitar and eventually studied music production at Salford University. It was during the covid lockdowns that Rico reconnected with Romanian guitarist Dragos Colceriu, sparking a musical and romantic partnership that laid the foundation for Luna Marble.
Their debut album, influenced by a "seventies philosophy" of recording live without click tracks, showcases their raw and unpolished sound. While still an independent band without major tour slots or famous fans, Luna Marble's passion for their music shines through in their self-titled debut LP. With a DIY approach and a determination to pursue music full-time, Luna Marble is carving out their own path in the music industry.
