Introducing the 2027 Ford Bronco RTR: A Collaboration with Vaughn Gittin Jr.

Ford Motor Co. and Formula Drift Champion Vaughn Gittin Jr. are deepening their collaboration with the introduction of the 2027 Bronco RTR line. This new line of Ford Bronco SUVs, developed under Ford's RTR Vehicles brand, will feature a range of off-road capabilities straight from the factory, set to debut later this year. Vaughn Gittin Jr., known as a "professional fun-haver," has a strong history with Ford, having achieved success with vehicles like the Mustang and Bronco Raptor in various competitions.
The partnership between Ford and Gittin has led to the creation of customized versions of Ford models through RTR Vehicles. The upcoming Bronco RTR edition, jointly developed with Gittin, aims to offer many of the unique features found in previous custom versions of the SUV at a significantly lower price point. Ed Krenz, Bronco's chief program engineer, expressed the goal of developing the most performance-oriented Bronco to date.
The Bronco RTR project represents a comprehensive collaboration between Ford and Gittin, building on their successful partnership with the Mustang. This new venture promises to deliver a range of features that buyers would typically seek from Gittin's workshop, but at a more accessible price point. The 2027 Bronco RTR will be manufactured on the Ford assembly line alongside other Bronco variants, ensuring quality and affordability for customers.
The Bronco RTR will be positioned below the extreme Raptor package in the Bronco lineup, offering two versions: a base package with 33-inch rugged-terrain tires and a standard high-clearance suspension, and an optional Sasquatch package with 35-inch tires and advanced suspension technology. Gittin emphasized the off-road capabilities of the Bronco RTR, designed to excel in challenging terrains with features like Baja Mode and enhanced cooling systems.
Distinctive design elements, such as Hyper Lime accents and topographical maps of Johnson Valley, set the Bronco RTR apart visually. The widened body of the RTR package enhances its off-road performance, complemented by the rugged RTR Evo 6 wheels. While specific details like ground clearance and powertrain specifications are yet to be revealed, the Bronco RTR is expected to offer a balance of performance and affordability within the Bronco lineup.
As Ford and Gittin continue to unveil more information about the 2027 Bronco RTR in the coming months, enthusiasts can anticipate a blend of off-road prowess and distinctive design elements. With deliveries projected for autumn, the Bronco RTR represents a new chapter in the collaboration between Ford and Vaughn Gittin Jr., promising an exciting addition to the Bronco family.
