Severe Collision in Southeast Indiana Sends Man to Hospital via Airlift: Wayne County Sheriff's Office Investigating

A man was airlifted to the hospital following a severe collision in southeast Indiana on Tuesday. The incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. when the Wayne County Sheriff's Office was called to the intersection of North Centerville Road and Webster Road to respond to the crash. According to the initial findings, a Ford Focus traveling south was struck by a 2020 Dodge Ram traveling west, which failed to yield the right of way. The impact caused both vehicles to swerve off the road. The driver of the Ford sustained serious injuries and had to be extricated from the vehicle by first responders. He was then transported via CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital with severe, life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Dodge Ram was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The road was shut down for several hours as authorities conducted their investigation. The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is currently looking into the crash.
