Baylor School Chosen as Training Base for Spain National Football Team Ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup Matches in Atlanta

Baylor School has been selected as the training base for the Spain national football team ahead of their matches in Atlanta for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Spanish team will prepare at Baylor before their Group H matches against Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. This decision was made over other options in the Atlanta area, with Baylor chosen for its excellent facilities and private environment. The team will stay at The Read House hotel in downtown Chattanooga during their time in the city. Chattanooga is not a fixed host city for the entire World Cup, as Spain will move to the cities where they play after their initial matches. The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be co-hosted by Canada, Mexico, and the United States, featuring 16 cities across the three nations. Spain is considered a top contender for the World Cup title, led by coach Luis de la Fuente and star players Lamine Yamal and Pedri Gonzalez. Their only World Cup victory came in 2010 in South Africa.
