Belle Collective: Birmingham" Expands the Southern Belle Universe: Stormi Steele and Canvas Beauty Take Center Stage

OWN's hit unscripted series "Belle Collective" is branching out with a new installment titled "Belle Collective: Birmingham," featuring Stormi Steele, the founder of Canvas Beauty. The show will follow Steele as she collaborates with a group of ambitious women in Birmingham to elevate the city's beauty and influence scene. The original "Belle Collective" will also return for its seventh season on Feb. 13, showcasing the lives of Black businesswomen in Jackson, Miss.
The "Belle Collective" franchise shines a spotlight on strong and ambitious Black female entrepreneurs who are redefining the modern southern Belle archetype. The original series features Kerri Paul, Lateshia Pearson, Latrice Rogers, Marie Hamilton-Abston, Selena Johnson, and Tambra Cheri. Season 6 of the show was a hit among African American women aged 25-54.
In the upcoming season, viewers can expect to see Lateshia prioritizing herself amid marital challenges, Marie dealing with betrayal, Latrice facing a health scare, Selena preparing for her wedding, and Kerri navigating financial hurdles. Tensions escalate when conflicts between cast members erupt, leading to chaos within the Collective.
Both "Belle Collective" and "Belle Collective: Birmingham" are produced by Kingdom Reign Entertainment. OWN president Tina Perry expressed pride in the success of the franchise and the opportunity to showcase the narratives and personalities of Black women in the South through authentic storytelling. The expansion of the franchise promises to bring new and compelling stories to audiences.
