Kim Gordon's New Album 'Play Me': Exploring Krautrock Beats and Collaborations with Justin Raisen

Kim Gordon, the former Sonic Youth co-leader, is set to release her third solo album, Play Me. Collaborating with avant-pop producer Justin Raisen, Gordon explores krautrock beats on this new record. The lead single, "Not Today," showcases a more melodic and vulnerable side of Gordon's voice. The album touches on themes like AI and encroaching fascism, with Dave Grohl contributing drums on the track "Busy Bee." The video for "Busy Bee" was directed by Kate and Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, featuring Gordon in a custom-made silk tulle dress. Play Me is scheduled for release on 3/13 via Matador Records.
