Luke Grimes Returns as Kayce Dutton in 'Marshals': A Spinoff Series from Yellowstone

Luke Grimes, known for his role in Yellowstone, is set to return as Kayce Dutton in a new spinoff series. In a recent interview, Grimes discusses the decision to change the show's title from Y: Marshals to just Marshals. The change was made to emphasize the connection to the Yellowstone and Taylor Sheridan world. The Y in the title was considered silent by the network, and the decision to drop it was to clarify the show's origins.
Marshals is a spinoff from Yellowstone, following Kayce Dutton as he embarks on a new journey away from the Dutton Ranch. The show will feature familiar faces from Yellowstone, including Brecken Merrill as Tate, Gil Birmingham as Thomas Rainwater, and Mo Brings Plenty. Kelsey Asbille, who played Monica Dutton, is notably absent from the promotional materials. The show's first look teaser shows Kayce contemplating his new path and engaging in law enforcement activities.
The upcoming series will premiere on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8PM ET on CBS. It will later be available for streaming on Paramount+. The first season of Marshals will consist of 13 episodes, offering fans a new chapter in the Yellowstone universe.
