Timothy Busfield Denies Sexual Abuse Allegations on 'The Cleaning Lady' Set: Lawyer Confirms Lie Detector Test Results

Timothy Busfield is vehemently denying allegations of sexual abuse involving child actors on the set of "The Cleaning Lady." His lawyer, Larry Stein, asserts that Busfield took a lie detector test and passed, refuting the accusations made against him. The actor/director maintains his innocence and insists that the claims are entirely false.
The allegations against Busfield stem from his time directing the show in 2022 in New Mexico, where two child actors, aged 7 and 8 at the time, accused him of sexual abuse. The parents of the children reported the alleged incidents to the Albuquerque police two years later, prompting a criminal investigation into the matter.
Attorney Christina McGovern, who conducted an independent investigation on behalf of Warner Bros., found no corroborating evidence to support the allegations against Busfield. Despite multiple witness statements, there was no indication of inappropriate conduct by Busfield or any instances of him being alone with the twins on set.
Busfield has adamantly denied the accusations, stating that he did not engage in any misconduct with the young boys and believes they are lying. He is scheduled to appear in court in New Mexico today at 12:30 PM PT to address the allegations brought against him.
