New Development in 2023 Madison Teen Shooting Case: Fifth Individual Charged

A new development has emerged in the case of the 2023 shooting death of a Madison teenager, with the charging of a fifth individual. Domon Goodwan, a 22-year-old resident of Madison, faces multiple charges including first-degree intentional homicide, attempted first-degree intentional homicide, and first-degree recklessly endangering safety in connection with the incident that took place outside the Harmony Apartments on Madison's east side. The shooting resulted in the death of 15-year-old Kyesha Miller and injuries to three others.

Goodwan, along with four other men previously charged in the shooting, allegedly arrived at the Harmony Apartments in a stolen car and opened fire on a group of teenagers, including Miller. The other four individuals involved in the incident were identified as Javian White, Reginald Sexton, Wilson Clark, and Donivan Douglas. The trial for these four men was scheduled for October 2025 but was postponed after the discovery of a potential additional perpetrator.

Evidence presented in a criminal complaint alleges that Goodwan and the other suspects were involved in the shooting, with White identified as a shooter based on an anonymous tip and DNA evidence linking Douglas, Sexton, and Clark to the stolen car used in the crime. Further details from jail calls and GPS data implicated Goodwan's involvement in the incident.

During Goodwan's initial court appearance, a cash bond of $1 million was set. The ongoing investigation into the shooting continues to uncover new details and potential connections among the individuals involved in this tragic event.
