Timothy Busfield Faces Child Sex Abuse Charges: Talent Agency Drops Him

Timothy Busfield, known for his role in "The West Wing," faced a setback as his talent agency, Innovative Artists, decided to part ways with him following his arrest on child sex abuse charges. The actor appeared in court in an orange jumpsuit in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he faced three felony charges related to the alleged abuse of minors. Busfield is accused of sexually abusing two brothers, aged 7 and 8, while they were on the set of the TV show "The Cleaning Lady," which he directed and produced. Prosecutors claim that Busfield took advantage of the filming environment to isolate the children, exhibiting grooming behaviors typical in child sexual abuse cases. Additionally, a third accusation of sexual abuse was filed against Busfield by the father of a 16-year-old girl who auditioned for him at B Street Theatre in Sacramento, CA, about 25 years ago. The father initially agreed with Busfield's suggestion to seek therapy instead of reporting the incident to law enforcement.
