Films Grand Huit: A Look at Upcoming Projects and Talents to Watch
Nadia Tereszkiewicz, a César award-winning actress known for her roles in "The Crime Is Mine" and "Forever Young," is set to star in the upcoming film "Souveraines," directed by Rémi Allier. The movie follows a mother and daughter involved in eco-terrorism, exploring themes of radical activism and conspiracy theories. Produced by Films Grand Huit and Wrong Men, the film is scheduled to start filming later this year.
Films Grand Huit, based in Brittany, is also working on "Disorder," the next project from director Giacomo Abruzzese. The film is set in 1990s Milan and delves into the rise of private television and a new ruling class. Co-produced with Dugong in Italy, the project has garnered support from various funds and is set to begin production in late 2026. KMBO will handle distribution in France.
Additionally, Films Grand Huit's "Vanishing Goats," directed by Marie Remond, is set to release in French theaters in April. The film follows a director navigating a toxic relationship while pursuing her career. Another upcoming project from the production company is "Une de perdue, une de perdue," a queer romcom directed by Mathilde Elu, which follows a bike trip along the Breton coast.
Looking ahead, Films Grand Huit is developing several other projects, including "Les Reves Tempetes" with director Jonathan Millet, "Deepfake" by Ismaël Joffroy Chandoutis, "Ici Repose" by Moly Kane, and "La disparition des dinosaures" by Élie Girard. Tereszkiewicz and Millet have been recognized as Unifrance Talents to Watch at the Unifrance Rendez-Vous in Paris.
