Jordan Rudess' Near Miss with Pink Floyd's The Wall: A Drumming Tale

A musician, Jordan Rudess, shared a story about almost being part of Pink Floyd's album The Wall in 1979. He was invited to the studio by a friend who was assembling a marching band for the song Bring The Boys Back Home. Despite not being a drummer, Rudess joined in and played the drums during the session. However, the producer, Bob Ezrin, noticed his performance and decided it wasn't up to par, leading Rudess to step back and listen to the playback in the control room. Rudess acknowledged his drumming skills were lacking but still wished he could have been part of the iconic album.
