NBA All-Star Weekend 2026: New Format, Exciting Events, and Schedule

The NBA All-Star Game starters have been chosen through a combination of fan, player, and media votes. The 10 starters, five from each conference, will be announced live on NBC by the NBA Showtime crew. Following this, NBA coaches will vote for the seven reserve players from each conference, with the results to be revealed next week on NBC. The All-Star players will then be divided into three teams for a new USA vs. World All-Star Game format.

The new format will feature two USA teams and one world team competing in a round-robin tournament of four 12-minute games. The top two teams will face off in a championship game to determine the winner. The All-Star weekend will kick off with the Rising Stars game on Feb. 13, followed by the NBA All-Star Celebrity Game and the NBA HBCU Classic at the Kia Forum.

On Saturday, Feb. 14, All-Star Saturday night will feature the Skills Challenge, 3-point Contest, and Dunk Contest at the Intuit Dome. The 75th NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 15, earlier than in previous years, leading into more coverage of the Milan Cortina Winter Olympics. Peacock NBA Monday will stream up to three Monday night games each week, while Coast 2 Coast Tuesday will present doubleheaders on Tuesday nights. NBC Sports will launch Sunday Night Basketball on Feb. 1, 2026, across NBC and Peacock.
