Chivas Duo Brian Gutiérrez and Richard Ledezma Complete Switch to Represent Mexico National Team

Brian Gutiérrez and Richard Ledezma, who hold dual citizenship in the United States and Mexico, have officially completed their switch to represent Mexico's national team. The Mexican federation confirmed the news, stating that FIFA has approved their eligibility to play for Mexico. Both players, who previously played for the United States at various levels, are now part of Mexico's squad for upcoming friendlies against Panama and Bolivia. The Chivas teammates made the switch in time for Mexico's World Cup campaign, with their first match scheduled for June 11 against South Africa. To be eligible for selection by manager Javier Aguirre for the World Cup, Gutiérrez and Ledezma had to undergo a one-time switch process mandated by FIFA.
