On January 20, 1983, Def Leppard launched their third studio album, Pyromania, marking the debut of guitarist Phil Collen, who took over from Pete Willis. Produced by Mutt Lange, the album showcased hits like "Photograph," "Foolin'," and "Rock of Ages," and spent 124 weeks on the Billboard 200, reaching a peak of #2. Pyromania became Def Leppard's best-selling album, with over 10 million copies sold and a Diamond certification from the RIAA. To commemorate the album's 40th anniversary in 2024, Def Leppard released a deluxe edition of Pyromania, featuring previously unreleased demos from the band's archives.
