Teenage Fugitive Accused of Two Shootings Surrendered to Clayton County Authorities

A teenage fugitive accused of two shootings was surrendered to Clayton County authorities on Tuesday. 16-year-old Lequan Stephens was turned in by his father at the Clayton County Police Department after allegedly firing into a vehicle on Lovejoy Crossing Lane on Jan. 17. The shooting resulted in a juvenile sustaining gunshot wounds to the face and neck. Clayton County Sheriff Levon Allen mobilized his Fugitive Squad to locate Stephens following the incident. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation also issued warrants for Stephens related to another shooting in the 1300 block of Misty Ridge Court. Stephens is charged with aggravated assault and criminal damage to property. The specific details of the Misty Ridge Court shooting and the charges associated with it were not disclosed by the police.
