Talking Heads: Tentative Decisions - Demos & Live Collection

Talking Heads are set to release a new three-CD set titled Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live, featuring previously unreleased demos and live recordings from their early years in New York. The collection will be available on March 6 and includes demos recorded in 1975 and live recordings from 1976. The set showcases the band's original material before the release of their debut album, Talking Heads: 77.

The demos and live recordings in the upcoming set offer a glimpse into the band's early days in New York, featuring tracks like "Psycho Killer," "No Compassion," and "Thank You for Sending Me an Angel." The recordings capture the band's evolution from covering Motown and Kinks songs to focusing on their own unique sound.

The three-CD set includes live performances from iconic venues like Max’s Kansas City and the Lower Manhattan Ocean Club, as well as demos recorded for CBS in 1975. Additionally, a black vinyl version of the album will be available, featuring an early version of Talking Heads known as the Artistics performing two songs that were later reworked by the band.

Fans of Talking Heads can look forward to exploring the early demos and live recordings that laid the foundation for the band's groundbreaking sound. Tentative Decisions: Demos & Live offers a rare glimpse into the creative process of one of the most influential bands in music history.
