The Birmingham Stallions are gearing up for the upcoming United Football League (UFL) season, which is set to begin on March 27. The UFL recently unveiled its 2026 season schedule, with the Stallions facing off against the Louisville Kings in their season opener at Lynn Family Field in Louisville, Kentucky. This game will be broadcast on "FOX UFL Friday" at 7 p.m. CST.
Louisville is one of the three new franchises in the UFL, along with the Columbus Aviators and Orlando Storm, replacing the Memphis Showboats, Michigan Panthers, and San Antonio Brahmas. Birmingham will start the season with three away games before playing their first home game at Protective Stadium against the Orlando Storm on April 18.
The Stallions' 10-game schedule includes matchups against the Kings, Aviators, Storm, and Houston Gamblers. Notably, Birmingham will not face the DC Defenders during the 2026 regular season. Single-game tickets for the upcoming season will go on sale on Monday, with various ticket packages available online.
Head coach AJ McCarron expressed excitement about the upcoming season, urging fans to support the team at home games. The April 18 game against the Orlando Storm will be the "Magic City Kickoff," celebrating the local community and its culture. Following the regular season, the top four teams will advance to the playoffs, with the semifinals scheduled for June 7 and the UFL Championship Game set for June 13.
