ESPN's SportsCenter is set to make a special appearance at Jackson State University, broadcasting live from the Lee E. Williams Athletics and Assembly Center on Monday, Feb. 2. This event marks a unique opportunity for the university as it kicks off Black History Month with a national spotlight on the Tigers. Jackson State joins a select group of college programs chosen for SportsCenter on Campus, with coverage starting at 1 p.m. CT and a second live broadcast at 4 p.m. CT from inside the JSU arena.
Head men's basketball coach Mo Williams will be featured in a live interview during the broadcast and will also participate in a free-throw shooting contest with David Dennis Jr., a senior writer at Andscape and ESPN analyst. The show will not only focus on basketball but will also showcase the Sonic Boom of the South and Dr. Roderick Little to highlight Jackson State's rich history, traditions, and cultural impact.
