The film is based on the true story of Lightning & Thunder, a Neil Diamond tribute band. In the movie, Hudson portrays Claire Sardina, while Hugh Jackman plays the role of Mike Sardina. Claire Sardina visited the WISN 12 News studio in Milwaukee to talk about her experience since the movie's release, describing it as surreal and filled with memories of love, music, and Milwaukee. Sadly, "Lightning" Mike Sardina passed away in 2006, with Claire referring to him as her angel. The movie had a successful opening weekend, grossing $12 million. The 98th Academy Awards ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, March 15.
