San Antonio FC Announces Preseason Schedule and Roster Updates for Upcoming Season
San Antonio FC has announced its preseason schedule for the upcoming season, which includes six games, including matchups against two MLS teams. The team, led by head coach Carlos Llamosa, finished sixth in the Western Conference last season and has re-signed eight players to its roster. Former player Juan Agudelo recently retired after two seasons with the team, where he scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 56 matches.
The preseason schedule kicks off with away games against Austin FC and Houston Dynamo on January 23 and February 4, respectively. SAFC will also face FC Tulsa before returning home to play against the University of the Incarnate Word on February 18. The team will then play Houston Dynamo 2 and Corpus Christi FC to wrap up the preseason matches.
Corpus Christi FC, a USL League One franchise, will be SAFC's final opponent in the preseason. All preseason matches will be closed to the public, as announced by the team. SAFC will officially start the season at home against Phoenix Rising FC on March 7 and is set to play a friendly against SV Darmstadt on March 25.
