Jakob has cited influences like The Strokes and Beach Fossils for his music style. Ultra Q, the band he is part of, recently released their third EP 'Get Yourself A Friend' in 2021. 'Heroes' has gained popularity recently, especially after being featured in the Stranger Things finale, leading to a significant increase in streaming numbers at the beginning of the year.

As the 10th anniversary of David Bowie's final album 'Blackstar' and his death were commemorated, various tributes and celebrations took place. Billie Joe Armstrong, known for his cover versions, released an album titled 'No Fun Mondays' in 2020, featuring covers of songs by artists like Prince, John Lennon, and The Clash. He also formed the all-covers band The Coverups with Green Day bandmate Mike Dirnt and others, performing songs like Hole's 'Celebrity Skin' and Bowie's 'Suffragette City'.
