RUSH Teases New Music After 'Fifty Something' Tour: Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson Hint at Fresh Material Post-2026 Tour

RUSH fans have something to look forward to as the iconic Canadian rock band hints at new music in the future. Geddy Lee, the band's bassist and vocalist, revealed in a recent interview that there is a possibility of creating fresh material after their upcoming 2026 headline tour, "Fifty Something." Joining Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson on the tour will be drummer Anika Nilles, who previously toured with guitarist Jeff Beck. The trio has been rehearsing together, offering fans a preview of what to expect.
Lee expressed his initial intention to work on new music before the tour celebrations began, and he is excited about the potential collaboration with Lifeson. The focus is currently on preparing for the tour, but Lee hinted that once they have some downtime after the tour, new music might emerge.
The "Fifty Something" tour is set to kick off on June 7, 2026, at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles, the same venue where RUSH played their final show in 2015. The tour will cover Canada, the United States, and Mexico, with each night featuring two full sets of songs chosen from a selection of 35 tracks, ensuring a unique experience at every show. The tour generated significant excitement, leading to sold-out dates and additional stops being added to accommodate the high demand.
