Uninvited Guest Causes Disturbance at High West Saloon During Sundance Film Festival Party

An incident occurred at Park City's High West Saloon during a crowded CAA party at the Sundance Film Festival. An unidentified man, who was not on the RSVP list or known to any confirmed guests, allegedly sneaked into the party through an alternate entrance. The man caused a disturbance in the restroom, making racially-charged statements and reportedly punching a non-white guest before security intervened and detained him until the police arrived.
Park City Police confirmed the arrest of the man at High West Saloon following the incident but did not disclose any charges or the man's identity. The Summit County Sheriff's Office also refrained from commenting on the charges but confirmed that the man was still in custody. The incident took place in a discreet manner and did not disrupt the festival's festivities, as CAA's events are known for their strict invite lists and tight security.
High West declined to provide details about the incident, citing their policy of not commenting on private events. The Sundance Film Festival, which runs until Feb. 1, is experiencing its final year in Park City before relocating to Boulder, Colorado. Arrests during the festival are not uncommon, with past law enforcement officials describing the scene as chaotic and debauched in previous years.
