Boston College Women's Basketball Team's Resilient Journey Home Amid Winter Storm Challenges

The Boston College women's basketball team faced a challenging journey back home after a defeat against No. 8 Louisville due to a winter storm affecting the country. To navigate the situation, the team devised a plan to bus to South Bend, Indiana, where the men's team was playing and had a charter flight available. The team successfully traveled the 250-plus miles to South Bend and caught a flight back to Boston without any issues. Coach Joanna Bernabei-McNamee, who previously coached in Kentucky, noted the differences in snow response between the two regions, highlighting the adaptability required in Boston's snow conditions. The game schedule was adjusted by moving it up a day, which Bernabei-McNamee appreciated, acknowledging the efforts of the conference, referees, and Louisville's administrative team in facilitating the change.
