Tragic Collision in Anaheim: Pregnant Woman Killed by Allegedly Impaired Driver

The Anaheim Police Department reported that a white Toyota Camry was hit by a grey Lexus at the intersection of North Anaheim Boulevard and the eastbound 91 Freeway Frontage Road around 12:09 a.m. The Lexus driver ran a red light before the crash.

The 24-year-old pregnant woman, identified as Bianca Esquivel by her family, was a passenger in the Camry and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Camry and two other passengers in the Lexus sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Lexus, a 24-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of DUI and later booked on an additional charge of vehicular homicide. Authorities have not released the identity of the driver at this time. Further details about the incident have not been disclosed.
