2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame Inductees: A Celebration of Musical Excellence

The Songwriters Hall of Fame has announced its 2026 class of inductees, including Taylor Swift, Alanis Morissette, Christopher “Tricky” Stewart, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of KISS, Kenny Loggins, Terry Britten & Graham Lyle, and Walter Afanasieff. The induction ceremony will take place on June 11 at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City, with additional special award honorees to be revealed soon. Swift, at 36, is the second-youngest inductee ever and the youngest woman to be honored by the Hall of Fame. Tricky Stewart, known for his work with Beyoncé, Rihanna, and Mariah Carey, and Walter Afanasieff, a collaborator with Carey and Celine Dion, are among the distinguished inductees this year. Terry Britten and Graham Lyle, who have worked extensively with Tina Turner and won a Grammy for their song "What's Love Got to Do with It," are also part of the esteemed class.

Summer's husband, Bruce Sudano, expressed the significance of this honor for her, noting that being recognized as a songwriter was always important to her.
