Baki-Dou: The Legendary Swordsman Returns - Premiering February 26, 2026 on Netflix

Netflix has announced the release date for the upcoming Baki-Dou anime sequel, titled Baki-Dou. The series is set to premiere on February 26, 2026, and will be available for streaming on Netflix. Baki-Dou is the fourth main installment in the Baki anime and manga franchise, following Baki the Grappler, Baki, and Baki Hanma, and preceding Bakidou and Baki Rahen.
Based on the manga of the same name by Keisuke Itagaki, Baki-Dou continues the story after Baki's intense battle with his father, Yujiro, as seen in Baki Hanma. The manga series, which ran from March 2014 to April 2018 with 22 volumes, explores the aftermath of the epic fight and introduces a new challenge for Baki and other fighters.
In Baki-Dou, a secret plan unfolds 364 meters below Tokyo Skytree, leading to the revival of the legendary swordsman from the 17th century Samurai era, Musashi Miyamoto. Miyamoto engages in duels with some of the world's strongest fighters, including Doppo Orochi, Jack Hanma, and Kaoru Hanayama, showcasing his unique combat style and leaving his opponents intrigued about the outcome of their battles.
The teaser trailer for Baki-Dou was released online on September 5, 2025, offering a glimpse into the upcoming series. The footage features Baki and other fighters grappling with boredom before their anticipated showdown with Miyamoto, who will be voiced by Naoya Uchida in the anime.
Fans of the Baki franchise can look forward to the release of Baki-Dou on Netflix, where all 13 episodes of the anime will be available for streaming at once. Stay tuned for the action-packed adventures and intense battles that await in this latest installment of the popular series.
