In The Grey": Black Bear's Action-Packed Release with Guy Ritchie's Star-Studded Cast
Black Bear is set to release Guy Ritchie’s action film, In The Grey, in theaters on April 10, 2026, after Lionsgate quietly dropped the movie. Black Bear acquired the distribution rights from Lionsgate, which had initially planned a Jan. 17, 2025 release before removing it from the 2026 schedule. With the launch of its U.S. distribution arm, Black Bear took on the task of releasing In The Grey, while Lionsgate will handle the film’s digital and pay-TV distribution in collaboration with Black Bear.
In The Grey features a star-studded cast including Jake Gyllenhaal, Henry Cavill, Eiza González, Kristofer Hivju, Fisher Stevens, and Rosamund Pike. Directed and written by Guy Ritchie, the film follows a team of elite operatives who operate in the shadows of the global stage, skilled in both power plays and combat. When a tyrant steals a massive fortune, the team is tasked with reclaiming it in what seems like a suicide mission. What ensues is a high-stakes battle of strategy, deceit, and survival.
The movie was produced by Guy Ritchie and Ivan Atkinson for Toff Guy, John Friedberg for Black Bear, and Dave Caplan for C2. In The Grey is part of Black Bear’s 2026 film lineup, which also includes Shelter, an action thriller starring Jason Statham and directed by Ric Roman Waugh, scheduled to hit theaters on Jan. 30. With its gripping storyline and talented cast, In The Grey promises to deliver an action-packed cinematic experience for audiences when it hits theaters in April.
