Michael J. Fox Returns to the Screen in Season Three of Shrinking on Apple TV

Michael J. Fox makes his return to the screen after a six-year hiatus in a new clip from Season Three of Shrinking, now available exclusively on Rolling Stone. The clip is from the first episode of the season, titled “My Bad,” which premieres on Apple TV. In the scene, Harrison Ford's character, Paul, a therapist with Parkinson's disease, meets Jerry, played by Fox, in a doctor's waiting room. Jerry, who is further along in his battle with Parkinson's, shares a humorous exchange with Paul about their symptoms and experiences with the disease. Despite the challenges they face, they find solidarity in their shared struggle.
Fox's role in Season Three of Shrinking was announced last year, marking his return to acting since his retirement in 2020. The series reunites Fox with Bill Lawrence, the co-creator of the show and the creator of Spin City, a popular sitcom from the '90s in which Fox starred. Along with Fox and Ford, the main cast of Season Three includes Jason Segel, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Luke Tennie, Michael Urie, Lukita Maxwell, and Ted McGinley. The season will also feature guest appearances from Daniels, Sherry Cola, Candice Bergen, and Isabella Gomez.
The new season of Shrinking promises to continue exploring the challenges and triumphs of living with Parkinson's disease through the lens of its diverse and talented cast. With Fox's return to the screen and the reunion with Lawrence, fans can expect a mix of humor, heart, and poignant moments as the characters navigate their lives with the disease.
