Sony Music Publishing Nashville and Domain Capital Group Acquire Miranda Lambert's Catalog: A New Chapter in Country Music

Sony Music Publishing Nashville and Domain Capital Group have joined forces to acquire the catalog of renowned singer-songwriter Miranda Lambert. This deal includes all of Lambert's previous songs, and a new publishing agreement has been signed for her future works. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.
Miranda Lambert's catalog features popular country hits like "White Liar," "Bluebird," "Over You," and "Heart Like Mine," as well as successful albums such as "Platinum," "The Weight of These Wings," "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," and "Kerosene." She has also written songs for other artists, including Morgan Wallen, Ella Langley, Ashley Monroe, Luke Combs, and Lainey Wilson.
Sony Pictures Television is developing a project for Hulu inspired by Lambert's music catalog. Her recent single, "A Song to Sing," a collaboration with Chris Stapleton, has been well-received, and she has another Grammy-nominated song, "Trailblazer," with Reba McEntire and Lainey Wilson.
Sony Music Publishing Nashville CEO Rusty Gaston praised Lambert's authenticity and songwriting talent, expressing excitement about the partnership with Domain Capital Group. Domain Capital Group Managing Director Pete Chiappetta highlighted Lambert's songwriting skills and expressed enthusiasm for collaborating with her and Sony Music Publishing.
In addition to her music career, Lambert is a successful entrepreneur, co-founding the label imprint Big Loud Texas and launching her own restaurant, Casa Rosa. She is also an author and the creator of the Wanda June Home collection and Idyllwind brand. Lambert's philanthropic efforts through the MuttNation Foundation have raised over $11 million to support animal rescue and adoption initiatives.
The transaction was facilitated by legal representation from Greenberg Traurig, LLP, for Miranda Lambert, and Sheppard Mullin for Domain Capital Group. The partnership between Sony Music Publishing Nashville, Domain Capital Group, and Miranda Lambert aims to continue supporting Lambert's musical endeavors and further elevate her career in the music industry.
