Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen: A Dread-Filled Netflix Horror Series by the Duffer Brothers

The Duffer Brothers, known for creating Stranger Things, are set to launch a new unsettling Netflix show filled with dread. The horror series, titled Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen, will take viewers on a spine-tingling journey through a doomed wedding. Showrunner Haley Z. Boston promises character-driven storytelling and a tone of unsettling dread similar to Stranger Things, with influences from Carrie and Rosemary’s Baby. The cast includes Camila Morrone, Adam DiMarco, Jennifer Jason, Ted Levine, Gus Birney, Jeff Wilbusch, and Karla Crome.
Boston, who loves horror, aims to explore taboo feelings and fears through the show. Inspired by her parents' happy marriage, she delves into the fear of marrying the wrong person and the concept of soulmates. The series follows bride and groom Rachel and Nicky as they navigate their fears about commitment and face a fresh horror twist. Executive producers include Hilary Leavitt and Andrea Sperling, with Weronika Tofilska directing and executive producing four episodes. Axelle Carolyn and Lisa Brühlmann are also on board as directors.
Something Very Bad Is Going to Happen premieres on Netflix on March 26. Stay updated on the latest showbiz, TV, movie, and streaming news on the new Everything Gossip website.
