2026 Sundance Film Festival Winners: Unveiling the Best of Independent Cinema

The winners of the 2026 Sundance Film Festival will be revealed by the juries on Friday morning in Park City, Utah. The U.S. Dramatic Competition jury, consisting of filmmakers Janicza Bravo, Nisha Ganatra, and Azazel Jacobs, will announce the winners. Films in contention include "Josephine" starring Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan, Rachel Lambert's romantic drama "Carousel" featuring Chris Pine and Jenny Slate, as well as "Ha-chan, Shake Your Booty!" and "The Musical."

The World Cinema Dramatic Competition jury, made up of filmmakers Lila Avilés, Rungano Nyoni, and Joachim Trier, will announce the winners. Films from around the world, such as "The Hunch," "The Dog Who Wouldn't Be Quiet," "The Gravedigger's Wife," and "The Peacock's Paradise," are in contention.

The World Cinema Documentary Competition jury, consisting of filmmakers Kim Longinotto, Rithy Panh, and Nanfu Wang, will also reveal the winners. Documentaries like "The Devil's Drivers," "The Earth Is Blue as an Orange," "The Painter and the Thief," and "The Reason I Jump" are among the contenders.

The NEXT section jury, comprising filmmakers Radha Blank, Kirsten Johnson, and Justin Simien, will announce the winners. Films in this category include "The Scary of Sixty-First," "The Pink Cloud," "The Blazing World," and "The Nowhere Inn."
