Lexington Weekend Events: Wedding Expo, Black Jacket Symphony, and Children's Theatre Show

This Sunday, the Lexington Wedding Expo will feature over 60 vendors at the Central Bank Center. The expo serves as a convenient one-stop location for Kentucky's wedding industry, offering samples, door prizes, and raffles. Engaged couples can attend for free by RSVPing online before January 17, while other attendees pay $5 at the door.
At the Lexington Opera House, the Black Jacket Symphony will present their rendition of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and other hits this Sunday. Known for recreating classic albums, the symphony has performed over 40 rock albums to millions of people in the past decade. The shows will take place at 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.
"The Princess Who Lost Her Hair," a touring production, will be showcased at the Lexington Children's Theatre this weekend. The story follows Princess Kalendi, who faces a drought in her kingdom after losing her hair due to a weaver bird's request. Through acts of compassion and assistance from a beggar, the princess's hair and kingdom are restored. The show, suitable for children aged 6 to 11, runs for 40 minutes with Saturday shows at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday's show at 2 p.m.
