Softball Coach Charged with Child Sex Crimes: Michael Pusateri Indicted on Serious Charges

A softball coach from Baltimore County has been charged with child sex crimes by a federal grand jury. Michael Pusateri, 59, of Nottingham, is accused of producing child sexual abuse material, coercion and enticement, and possession of such material. The indictment alleges that Pusateri sent explicit messages to a minor victim and engaged in a sexual relationship with them, arranging meetings in local business parking lots for sexual acts. He is also accused of grooming the child through text messages and sending explicit images, including photos of his genitals.
An indictment is a formal accusation of a crime and does not imply guilt. If convicted, Pusateri could face a minimum of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years in federal prison for producing child sexual abuse material, 10 years to life for coercion and enticement, and up to 10 years for possession of such material. This case is still developing.
