Split Fiction: From Game to Film - Updates on the Movie Adaptation

A script for the upcoming movie adaptation of Hazelight's game "Split Fiction" has been written. The film, which follows two writers trapped in simulations of their own stories, is in the works by media company Story Kitchen. Sydney Sweeney from Euphoria and Eden is set to star in the film, with Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, known for Deadpool, handling the script. Hazelight studio head Josef Fares has seen the first version of the script and had a positive meeting with Sweeney about the project.
While Sweeney is excited about the film, there is no confirmed start date for filming yet. She is also involved in other projects like Colman Domingo's Scandalous and a Gundam adaptation. Additionally, Sweeney is set to produce an adaptation of OutRun. Apart from Split Fiction, Hazelight's game "It Takes Two" is also getting a film adaptation, but updates on this project have been scarce.
The progress on the Split Fiction movie seems promising with the script in place and a talented cast and crew on board. Fans of the game can look forward to seeing the story come to life on the big screen.
