Tragic Shooting Incident in Fall River, Massachusetts: Mother and Son Fatally Shot

A tragic incident occurred in Fall River, Massachusetts, where a mother and her son lost their lives in a shooting. The authorities responded to a 911 call reporting a double shooting at 431 Barnes Street around 8:05 p.m. The victims were identified as 25-year-old Nicholas Almeida and his mother, 54-year-old Elizabeth Almeida. Both individuals sustained gunshot wounds and were transported to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead. The suspect, 54-year-old Arlington College, who was in a relationship with Elizabeth, was found at the scene with a firearm and has been charged with two counts of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
