68th Annual Grammy Awards: Highlights, Winners, and Performances

The 68th annual Grammy Awards are currently underway at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, with several historic moments already taking place. K-pop act "Golden" from "KPop Demon Hunters" won the award for song written for visual media, marking the first time a K-pop act has won a Grammy. The songwriters delivered their acceptance speech in both English and Korean, emphasizing the song's bilingual appeal. Additionally, director Steven Spielberg won his first Grammy for "Music for John Williams" in the music film category.

The Premiere Ceremony, held at the Peacock Theater, kicked off with Darren Criss presenting the first award for best pop/duo group performance to Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande for "Defying Gravity." Yungblud and Turnstile both won their first Grammys for rock performance and best rock album, respectively. FKA twigs also secured her first Grammy for best dance/electronic album. The Latin music categories saw Natalia Lafourcade, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso, and Carín León taking home awards.

The 2026 Grammy Awards have shifted focus back to music after last year's emphasis on relief efforts following wildfires. The main show will feature performances by Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Bad Bunny, and more. The Premiere Ceremony opened with a lively performance by Earth, Wind & Fire, setting the tone for the event. Comedian Trevor Noah will host the main show, where history could be made as music's biggest names gather.

The main Grammy Awards show will be broadcast live on CBS at 8 p.m. Eastern on Feb. 1. Viewers can also watch the ceremony through live TV streaming services like Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, and FuboTV. Paramount+ subscribers will have access to live streaming or on-demand viewing the next day. The Associated Press will stream a red carpet show ahead of the Grammys, featuring interviews and fashion footage.

Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations with nine, followed by Lady Gaga, Jack Antonoff, and Cirkut with seven each. A diverse lineup of presenters and performers, including Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, and Tyler, the Creator, will grace the stage. The in memoriam segment will feature Reba McEntire, Brandy Clark, and Lukas Nelson, while tributes will be paid to D'Angelo, Roberta Flack, and Ozzy Osbourne. The 2026 Grammys promise to be a star-studded event celebrating the best in music.
