ARIA 2025 End-of-Year Charts: Top Australian Acts and Global Hits

The Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) has released its end-of-year charts for 2025, showcasing the top-performing acts in terms of albums and singles over the past year. Alex Warren's "Ordinary" dominated the singles chart, spending 17 consecutive weeks at the top spot. Other chart-toppers included Netflix's KPop Demon Hunters with "Golden" and collaborations like Rosé & Bruno Mars' "APT." and Lady Gaga & Mars' "Die With A Smile."

The top ten singles also featured familiar names from 2024, such as Billie Eilish, Benson Boone, and Gracie Abrams. The albums chart was led by Taylor Swift's "The Life Of A Showgirl," followed by the KPop Demon Hunters Soundtrack and Sabrina Carpenter's "Short N' Sweet." The Aussie representation in the charts saw a slight increase from the previous year, with five local acts making it to the top 100 in both the singles and albums charts.

Notable Australian acts in the 2025 charts included Sonny Fodera, Vance Joy, and Crowded House on the singles chart, while Cold Chisel, Spacey Jane, and The Hilltop Hoods represented on the albums chart. ARIA introduced new rules for its charts in 2025, focusing on music released within the last two years for the Singles and Albums charts, and featuring older releases in the On Repeat chart. These changes aimed to increase the visibility of Australian acts on the charts, with the full impact expected to be seen in the 2026 end-of-year chart.
