Tim McGraw Rocks the Ice: A Country Music Icon's Performance at the 2026 NHL Stadium Series

Country music icon Tim McGraw took the stage at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa during the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series. Performing a medley of his greatest hits on a pirate ship-themed stage, McGraw entertained the crowd during the intermission of the game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins. Despite not being a fan of medleys, McGraw was pleased with how the performance turned out.
Having grown up in Louisiana, McGraw's interest in hockey began during the Olympics but deepened when he moved to Nashville, where he currently resides. The Nashville Predators even use his hit song "I Like It, I Love It" as their goal song. Although he admits to not fully understanding the sport's rules, McGraw appreciates the athleticism and skill displayed by hockey players on the ice.
Given his background in performing at sporting events, including the NFL Draft and MLB games, McGraw readily accepted the NHL's invitation to perform at the prestigious event. Being a sports enthusiast, the opportunity to entertain 63,000 fans at a hockey game in a stadium was a no-brainer for him. McGraw's performance added to the list of exciting sports-related experiences he has had throughout his career.
