Untitled Nancy Meyers Comedy: A Star-Studded Holiday Treat Coming in 2027

Nancy Meyers, the renowned filmmaker known for her glossy, aspirational, and heartfelt movies, is set to write and direct a new untitled comedy for Warner Bros., scheduled for release on Christmas Day 2027. The star-studded cast includes Penélope Cruz, Kieran Culkin, Jude Law, Emma Mackey, and Owen Wilson. While the film's plot details are currently kept secret, it is a version of the project Meyers initially developed at Netflix, titled "Paris Paramount."

Negotiations with Netflix fell through due to budget constraints, with the streamer unwilling to exceed $130 million while the movie's budget soared to $150 million. Warner Bros. stepped in to revive the project, with Pam Abdy and Mike DeLuca leading the charge. Meyers, known for her box office hits like "What Women Want" and "The Holiday," will produce the film alongside Ilona Herzberg, with Diana Pokorny serving as executive producer.

Penélope Cruz, fresh off her success at Sundance, is represented by CAA, Untitled, Kuranda, and The Lede Company. Kieran Culkin is with WME and Brookside Artist Management, while Jude Law is represented by CAA, Julian Belfrage Associates, Jackoway Austen, ID, and Pippa Beng. Emma Mackey, known for her roles in "Sex Education" and "Ella McCay," is repped by CAA, Relevant, Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole, and Ziffren Brittenham. Owen Wilson is with UTA and Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum Matlof + Fishman LLP.

With Meyers' track record of successful films and a stellar cast on board, audiences can anticipate another charming and entertaining movie experience coming their way in 2027.
