Pirates of the Caribbean 6: Reviving the Franchise with a New Main Character and Margot Robbie Spin-Off

Disney is gearing up for the next installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, with a focus on introducing a new main character. The studio is reportedly working on Pirates of the Caribbean 6, with Margot Robbie rumored to lead a spin-off in the past. The new CEO of Disney, Josh D’Amaro, and president Dana Walden are said to be prioritizing the revival of the franchise, with Krysty Wilson-Cairns in talks to write the screenplay.

The upcoming reboot of Pirates of the Caribbean 6 is rumored to feature Jack Sparrow's son and a female lead character, potentially played by Margot Robbie. Disney aims to create a unique and iconic character, described as a blend of Jack Sparrow and Emma Stone's Cruella de Vil. The studio is looking to bring back Johnny Depp's Jack Sparrow in a supporting role, although it is uncertain if this plan will materialize.

Jerry Bruckheimer, the producer of the franchise, emphasized the importance of getting the script right before moving forward with the sequel. Ted Elliot, a franchise writer, had previously worked on the script for the reboot. Bruckheimer confirmed that they are currently focused on developing a single script for Pirates of the Caribbean 6 to ensure a successful continuation of the beloved franchise.
